I realize that this information is very late but it the first time trying to coordinate a multi county effort. It has been fun but a little scary. Trying to figure out how to get in touch with some folks; waiting to hear back from other county groups; talking with NWS and balancing all of this together so everyone can have a great experience has been really different.
?
It looks and feels like the effort this year will look more like a "Field Day" event. We are asking that everyone set yourselves up as if you were going to a field day event or an emergency operation. Nailing down station equipment and antennas that can help run the entire 24 hours has been interesting but I am hopeful that we are there.
?
The address for the NWS office is 500 Weather Service Road. You can use either Mapquest or google maps to get your best route to the office before coming in. I am including a copy of the Checklist for participating staions this year.
?
Bring your "junk bags" and your enthusiasm. Have fun operating and meet as many new people as you can. Take all of the eschanged information back home with and when we meet in support of NWS on the air we will all be more ready to work with each other to get the job done.
